FIRST LUMINOUS MYSTERY
BAPTISM OF JESUS IN
THE RIVER JORDAN
When all the people were baptized, and Jesus was at prayer after likewise being baptized, the skies opened and the Holy Spirit descended on Him in visible form like a dove. A voice from heaven was heard to say: "You are My beloved Son. On You my favor rests."
(Lk. 3:21-22)
FATIMA AND THE MYSTERY
In speaking of this Mystery, the Holy Father explains, "the Spirit descends on Him to invest him with the mission which He is to carry out." Rosarium Virginis Mariae #21
The children at Fatima were also given a mission, "Jesus wishes to make use of you to make me known and loved. He wants to establish in the world devotion to my Immaculate Heart." All who honor Our Lady of Fatima share in this mission. In this way we bring light to our world.
