The Rosary Garden

Rose Garden- the beautiful and wide walkway leads to the artistic masonry work of a cross and 50 rosary beads embedded in concrete to form the rosary. Roses of pink and white representing pink for the children and white for priest. Two trellis' of climbing red and yellow roses and clemetis lead to the 3 mystery gardens. A beautiful statue of Our Lady of the Rosary and a 4 tier fountain are the center of the garden.

Mystery Gardens- 3 Mystery Gardens branch out from the Rosary, each entering by a garden gate. Each garden contains statuary of the 5 mysteries of the 15 events of the life of Christ and Mary, the Mother of God. They contain concrete benches as a place for prayerful meditation to read or ask for prayers.

Gazebo(Memorial Flower Gardens)- This particular garden area contains gardens of various flowering bulbs and other varieties of plants donated in memory of a loved one. The flower gardens are changed and planted seasonally to allow someone to have a garden growing for their loved one for a season. The gazebo has seating so you may reflect in the garden's peaceful surroundings.

A Message from the Pastor

Our devotion to the Rosary of the Blessed Mother is an acknowledged fact at St. Mary's Parish. We were also a designated Jubilee Shrine Parish for the year of grace 2000 in the Year of Our Lord. The pictures and surroundings of this land allotted to us by the grace of God enables us to join these blessings in constructing a Rosary Garden. Not only can it serve as a sanctuary for members of our parish, but it is also an invitation to our friends and relatives near or far to seek respite from the cares of the world and find true tranquility in the midst of these sacred treasures of art and devotion.

May millions of souls respond to Our Blessed Mother's invitation to come for the renewal and refreshments of our souls.

HISTORY

For over 75 years St. Mary's has been the spiritual home for generations of Catholic families. The parish has a deep devotion to Our Lady.

Because St. Mary's was named for the Mother of Jesus, the Feast of the Assumption is the parish's principal celebration. The mid August festivities resemble those of a typical Italian village. There is a High Mass with procession and recitation of the Rosary.

St. Mary's continues to uphold the traditional Catholic devotions with weekly Eucharistic Adoration, daily Mass with recitation of the Rosary and confession.

The devoted parishioners and faithful friends from all over the country who have come to our small country church to pray invite you to visit or meditate in our Rosary Garden.
